CPY-CA (SC306)

CPY-CA is the ChloroAlkane (CA) derivative of the carbopyronine (CPY) fluorophore. It emits light in the red part of the UV-ViS spectrum, it is fluorogenic, highly cell permeable and well suited for STED and SIM superresolution imaging. CPY-CA enables multicolor imaging with SPY505, SPY555, SPY650, SPY700, SiR and GFP. CPY-CA can be imaged with e.g. using 610/20 nm and 650/40 nm excitation and emission filters respectively. ChloroAlkane (CA) is the substrate of the self labeling tag Halo-tag™*. Upon reaction with a CA derivative, Halo-tag™* forms a covalent bond with the substrate. It allows to permanently attach a fluorescent label to any protein of interest (POI) expressed as Halo-tag™* fusion.
