PTEN mouse Monoclonal Antibody(9E8)
PTEN mouse Monoclonal Antibody(9E8)
This gene was identified as a tumor suppressor that is mutated in a large number of cancers at high frequency. The protein encoded by this gene is a phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate 3-phosphatase. It contains a tensin like domain as well as a catalytic domain similar to that of the dual specificity protein tyrosine phosphatases. Unlike most of the protein tyrosine phosphatases, this protein preferentially dephosphorylates phosphoinositide substrates. It negatively regulates intracellular levels of phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate in cells and functions as a tumor suppressor by negatively regulating AKT/PKB signaling pathway. The use of a non-canonical (CUG) upstream initiation site produces a longer isoform that initiates translation with a leucine, and is thought to be preferentially associated with the mitochondrial inner membrane.
The PTEN Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (9E8) is a highly specific and reliable tool for the detection and analysis of PTEN protein expression in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using advanced monoclonal antibody technology, ensuring high affinity and specificity towards PTEN.
The PTEN protein, also known as phosphatase and tensin homolog, plays a crucial role in regulating cell growth, proliferation, and survival. Dysregulation or loss of PTEN function has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer. Therefore, accurate detection and quantification of PTEN protein levels are essential for understanding its role in disease progression and developing targeted therapies.
The PTEN Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (9E8) exhibits exceptional sensitivity and specificity, enabling precise detection of PTEN protein in both normal and pathological tissues. It has been extensively validated in various experimental settings, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
This antibody offers several advantages over other commercially available PTEN antibodies. Its high specificity ensures minimal cross-reactivity with other proteins, reducing the risk of false-positive results. Additionally, the monoclonal nature of this antibody guarantees batch-to-batch consistency, ensuring reliable and reproducible results.
The PTEN Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (9E8) is supplied as a ready-to-use solution, eliminating the need for time-consuming antibody preparation. It is compatible with a wide range of experimental techniques and can be used in both research and clinical settings.
In summary, the PTEN Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (9E8) is a highly specific and reliable tool for the detection and analysis of PTEN protein expression. Its exceptional sensitivity, specificity, and ease of use make it an invaluable asset for researchers and clinicians studying PTEN-related diseases and developing targeted therapies.
