This gene encodes component E2 of the multi-enzyme pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDC). PDC resides in the inner mitochondrial membrane and catalyzes the conversion of pyruvate to acetyl coenzyme A. The protein product of this gene, dihydrolipoamide acetyltransferase, accepts acetyl groups formed by the oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvate and transfers them to coenzyme A. Dihydrolipoamide acetyltransferase is the antigen for antimitochondrial antibodies. These autoantibodies are present in nearly 95% of patients with the autoimmune liver disease primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC). In PBC, activated T lymphocytes attack and destroy epithelial cells in the bile duct where this protein is abnormally distributed and overexpressed. PBC enventually leads to cirrhosis and liver failure.

Introducing the PDC-E2 Monoclonal Antibody, a cutting-edge product designed to revolutionize the field of medical diagnostics. This highly advanced antibody is meticulously engineered to specifically target and detect the presence of PDC-E2, a key autoantigen associated with various autoimmune diseases, particularly primary biliary cholangitis (PBC).

Crafted with utmost precision and utilizing state-of-the-art technology, this monoclonal antibody exhibits exceptional specificity and sensitivity, ensuring accurate and reliable results. Its unique binding properties enable the identification and quantification of PDC-E2 with unparalleled precision, facilitating early disease detection and monitoring of therapeutic interventions.

The PDC-E2 Monoclonal Antibody boasts an impressive range of applications, making it an indispensable tool for researchers, clinicians, and diagnostic laboratories alike. Its versatility extends to various immunoassay platforms, including enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and flow cytometry, enabling seamless integration into existing laboratory workflows.

Furthermore, this antibody is meticulously manufactured under stringent quality control measures, adhering to the highest industry standards. Each batch undergoes rigorous testing to ensure consistency, reliability, and reproducibility, guaranteeing optimal performance and minimizing experimental variability.
