The protein encoded by this gene is a dual specificity protein kinase that belongs to the MAP kinase kinase family. This kinase is known to play a critical role in mitogen growth factor signal transduction. It phosphorylates and thus activates MAPK1/ERK2 and MAPK2/ERK3. The activation of this kinase itself is dependent on the Ser/Thr phosphorylation by MAP kinase kinase kinases. Mutations in this gene cause cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome (CFC syndrome), a disease characterized by heart defects, mental retardation, and distinctive facial features similar to those found in Noonan syndrome. The inhibition or degradation of this kinase is also found to be involved in the pathogenesis of Yersinia and anthrax. A pseudogene, which is located on chromosome 7, has been identified for this gene.

The MEK2 Monoclonal Antibody (7D11) is a highly specific and reliable tool for the detection and analysis of MEK2 protein expression. This antibody is produced using advanced monoclonal antibody technology, ensuring high affinity and specificity towards MEK2.

The MEK2 protein plays a crucial role in the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway, which regulates various cellular processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Dysregulation of this pathway has been implicated in numerous diseases, including cancer.

The MEK2 Monoclonal Antibody (7D11) has been extensively validated for its performance in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It exhibits exceptional sensitivity and specificity, enabling accurate and reliable detection of MEK2 protein expression in various sample types.

This antibody is supplied as a purified and concentrated solution, ensuring optimal performance and ease of use. It is compatible with a wide range of experimental conditions and can be used in both research and clinical settings.

With its exceptional specificity and sensitivity, the MEK2 Monoclonal Antibody (7D11) is an invaluable tool for researchers and clinicians studying the MAPK signaling pathway and its implications in disease. Its reliable performance and ease of use make it an essential component of any laboratory or diagnostic setting.
