This gene encodes a racemase. The encoded enzyme interconverts pristanoyl-CoA and C27-bile acylCoAs between their (R)- and (S)-stereoisomers. The conversion to the (S)-stereoisomers is necessary for degradation of these substrates by peroxisomal beta-oxidation. Encoded proteins from this locus localize to both mitochondria and peroxisomes. Mutations in this gene may be associated with adult-onset sensorimotor neuropathy, pigmentary retinopathy, and adrenomyeloneuropathy due to defects in bile acid synthesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. Read-through transcription also exists between this gene and the upstream neighboring C1QTNF3 (C1q and tumor necrosis factor related protein 3) gene.

Introducing the AMACR Monoclonal Antibody, a highly effective and reliable tool for the detection of alpha-methylacyl-CoA racemase (AMACR) in various biological samples. This innovative product is designed to specifically target and bind to AMACR, a key enzyme involved in the metabolism of fatty acids and branched-chain amino acids.

The AMACR Monoclonal Antibody is produced using advanced biotechnology techniques, ensuring exceptional purity and specificity. It is suitable for use in a wide range of applications, including immunohistochemistry, western blotting, and ELISA.

This product is rigorously tested to ensure consistent and reproducible results, making it an ideal choice for researchers and clinicians alike. Its high sensitivity and specificity make it an invaluable tool for the diagnosis and monitoring of various diseases, including prostate cancer and colorectal cancer.

In summary, the AMACR Monoclonal Antibody is a cutting-edge product that offers exceptional performance and reliability. Its advanced technology and rigorous testing make it an indispensable tool for researchers and clinicians in the field of biomedical research and diagnostics.
