This gene is located upstream of the Wilms tumor 1 (WT1) gene; these two genes are bi-directionally transcribed from the same promoter region. This gene is imprinted in kidney, with preferential expression from the paternal allele. Imprinting defects at chromosome 11p13 may contribute to tumorigenesis.
The WIT1 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of WIT1 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human WIT1 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards the target protein, making it an ideal tool for various applications such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA. The WIT1 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a purified IgG fraction, which has been affinity-purified from rabbit serum using protein A chromatography. This ensures high purity and minimal cross-reactivity with other proteins, thereby enhancing the accuracy and reliability of the results obtained. The WIT1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers and clinicians working in the fields of cancer biology, reproductive medicine, and developmental biology, among others. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an indispensable reagent for the detection and quantification of WIT1 protein in various biological samples.
