This gene encodes a member of the ubiquitin-specific processing (UBP) family of proteases that is a deubiquitinating enzyme (DUB) with His and Cys domains. This protein is located in the cytoplasm and cleaves the ubiquitin moiety from ubiquitin-fused precursors and ubiquitinylated proteins. Mice with a mutation that results in reduced expression of the ortholog of this protein are retarded for growth, develop severe tremors by 2 to 3 weeks of age followed by hindlimb paralysis and death by 6 to 10 weeks of age. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.
The UBP14 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of UBP14 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human UBP14 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards UBP14 protein, making it an ideal tool for various applications such as Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunohistochemistry.
The UBP14 Polyclonal Antibody is purified using a combination of protein A and peptide affinity chromatography, ensuring high purity and minimal cross-reactivity with other proteins. This antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity, and has been shown to detect UBP14 protein in a variety of cell lines and tissues.
The UBP14 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is available in various sizes to meet the needs of different research applications. This antibody is suitable for use in both basic and clinical research, and is an essential tool for studying the role of UBP14 protein in various biological processes.
