This gene is a member of a phylogenetically conserved family of genes that share a common DNA-binding domain, the T-box. T-box genes encode transcription factors involved in the regulation of developmental processes. This gene is the human ortholog of mouse Tbx21/Tbet gene. Studies in mouse show that Tbx21 protein is a Th1 cell-specific transcription factor that controls the expression of the hallmark Th1 cytokine, interferon-gamma (IFNG). Expression of the human ortholog also correlates with IFNG expression in Th1 and natural killer cells, suggesting a role for this gene in initiating Th1 lineage development from naive Th precursor cells.

The TBX21 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of TBX21 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human TBX21 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards TBX21 protein, making it an ideal tool for various applications such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA.

The TBX21 Polyclonal Antibody is purified using a combination of protein A and peptide affinity chromatography, ensuring high purity and minimal cross-reactivity with other proteins. This antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity, and has been shown to detect endogenous TBX21 protein in various human and animal tissues.

The TBX21 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is available in various sizes to suit different experimental needs. This antibody is suitable for use in both research and diagnostic applications, and is an essential tool for studying the role of TBX21 protein in various physiological and pathological processes.
