Control of transcription by RNA polymerase II involves the basal transcription machinery which is a collection of proteins. These proteins with RNA polymerase II, assemble into complexes which are modulated by transactivator proteins that bind to cis-regulatory elements located adjacent to the transcription start site. Some modulators interact directly with the basal complex, whereas others may act as bridging proteins linking transactivators to the basal transcription factors. Some of these associated factors are weakly attached while others are tightly associated with TBP in the TFIID complex. Among the latter are the TAF proteins. Different TAFs are predicted to mediate the function of distinct transcriptional activators for a variety of gene promoters and RNA polymerases. TAF12 interacts directly with TBP as well as with TAF2I. Two transcript variants encoding the same pr

The TAF12 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of TAF12 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human TAF12 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards TAF12 protein, making it an ideal tool for various applications such as Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunohistochemistry.

The TAF12 Polyclonal Antibody is purified using a combination of protein A and peptide affinity chromatography, ensuring high purity and minimal cross-reactivity with other proteins. This antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity, and has been shown to detect endogenous TAF12 protein in various human cell lines and tissues.

The TAF12 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is available in various sizes to suit different experimental needs. This antibody is suitable for use in both research and diagnostic applications, and is an essential tool for studying the role of TAF12 protein in various biological processes.
