This gene encodes a transmembrane protein with two extracellular Kunitz domains that inhibits a variety of serine proteases. The protein inhibits HGF activator which prevents the formation of active hepatocyte growth factor. This gene is a putative tumor suppressor, and mutations in this gene result in congenital sodium diarrhea. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
The SPIT2 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of SPIT2 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human SPIT2 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards SPIT2 protein, making it an ideal tool for various applications such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA. The SPIT2 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a purified IgG fraction, which has been affinity-purified from rabbit serum using SPIT2 protein as the immunogen. This antibody is suitable for use in both research and diagnostic applications, and its high specificity and sensitivity make it an essential tool for studying the role of SPIT2 protein in various biological processes. The SPIT2 Polyclonal Antibody offers unparalleled sensitivity and specificity, enabling accurate and precise results in both research and diagnostic settings. Trust in this exceptional antibody to enhance your scientific investigations and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
