This gene encodes a member of a family of proteins that contain a methyl-CpG-binding domain (MBD) and a SET domain and function as histone methyltransferases. This protein is recruited to heterochromatin and plays a role in the regulation of chromosome segregation. This region is commonly deleted in chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Naturally-occuring readthrough transcription occurs from this gene to the downstream PHF11 (PHD finger protein 11) gene. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

The SETB2 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of SETB2 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of human SETB2 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards SETB2 protein, making it an ideal tool for various applications such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. The SETB2 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is available in different sizes to meet the needs of different research applications.
