The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the family of regulator of G protein signaling (RGS) proteins, which are regulatory and structural components of G protein-coupled receptor complexes. RGS proteins inhibit signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein alpha subunits, thereby driving them into their inactive GDP-bound forms. This protein selectively binds to G(z)-alpha and G(alpha)-i2 subunits, and regulates their signaling activities. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
The RGS20 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of RGS20 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human RGS20 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards RGS20 protein, making it an ideal tool for various applications such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
The RGS20 Polyclonal Antibody is purified using a combination of protein A and peptide affinity chromatography, ensuring high purity and minimal cross-reactivity with other proteins. This antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in various biological samples, including human, mouse, and rat tissues.
The RGS20 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is available in various sizes to meet the needs of different applications. This antibody is suitable for use in both research and diagnostic applications, and it is an essential tool for studying the function and regulation of RGS20 protein in various biological processes.
