This gene is the cellular homolog of viral raf gene (v-raf). The encoded protein is a MAP kinase kinase kinase (MAP3K), which functions downstream of the Ras family of membrane associated GTPases to which it binds directly. Once activated, the cellular RAF1 protein can phosphorylate to activate the dual specificity protein kinases MEK1 and MEK2, which in turn phosphorylate to activate the serine/threonine specific protein kinases, ERK1 and ERK2. Activated ERKs are pleiotropic effectors of cell physiology and play an important role in the control of gene expression involved in the cell division cycle, apoptosis, cell differentiation and cell migration. Mutations in this gene are associated with Noonan syndrome 5 and LEOPARD syndrome 2.

The RAF-1 Polyclonal Antibody, manufactured by BT Lab, is a highly specific and sensitive tool for the detection of RAF-1 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using high-quality polyclonal rabbit serum and has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunohistochemistry applications.

The RAF-1 protein is a key regulator of the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway, which plays a critical role in cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Dysregulation of this pathway has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular disease, and neurodegenerative disorders. Therefore, the accurate detection of RAF-1 protein expression is essential for understanding the underlying mechanisms of these diseases and developing effective therapeutic strategies.

The RAF-1 Polyclonal Antibody is designed to recognize both the phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated forms of RAF-1 protein, making it an ideal tool for studying the activation status of this protein in different cellular contexts. This antibody has been extensively tested in a variety of cell lines and tissues, demonstrating high specificity and sensitivity in detecting RAF-1 protein expression.

In summary, the RAF-1 Polyclonal Antibody from BT Lab is a reliable and effective tool for the detection of RAF-1 protein in various biological samples. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for researchers studying the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway and its role in disease pathogenesis.
