The protein encoded by this gene acts as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor for the RHO family of small GTP-binding proteins (RACs). It has been shown to bind to and activate RAC1 by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP. The encoded protein, which is found mainly in the cytoplasm, is activated by phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate and the beta-gamma subunits of heterotrimeric G proteins.
The PREX1 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of PREX1 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human PREX1 protein.
The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards the target protein, making it an ideal tool for various applications such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. The PREX1 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a purified IgG fraction, which has been affinity-purified from rabbit serum using protein A chromatography.
This ensures high purity and minimal cross-reactivity with other proteins, thereby enhancing the accuracy and reliability of the results obtained. The antibody is also validated for use in various species, including human, mouse, and rat. With its superior performance and versatility, the PREX1 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for researchers and clinicians working in the fields of cancer biology, signal transduction, and cell biology.
