This gene is involved in the first step in glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchor biosynthesis. The GPI-anchor is a glycolipid found on many blood cells and serves to anchor proteins to the cell surface. This gene encodes a N-acetylglucosaminyl transferase component that is part of the complex that catalyzes transfer of N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) from UDP-GlcNAc to phosphatidylinositol (PI). Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

The PIGQ Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of PIGQ protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human PIGQ protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards PIGQ protein, making it an ideal tool for various applications such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA.

The PIGQ Polyclonal Antibody is purified using a combination of protein A and peptide affinity chromatography, ensuring high purity and minimal cross-reactivity with other proteins. This antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity, and has been shown to detect PIGQ protein in a variety of cell lines and tissues.

The PIGQ Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is available in various sizes to meet the needs of different applications. This antibody is suitable for use in both research and diagnostic settings, and is an essential tool for studying the role of PIGQ protein in various biological processes.
