This gene is a member of the kernel lipocalin superfamily whose members share relatively low sequence similarity but have highly conserved exon/intron structure and three-dimensional protein folding. Most lipocalins are clustered on the long arm of chromosome 9. The encoded glycoprotein has been previously referred to as pregnancy-associated endometrial alpha-2-globulin, placental protein 14, and glycodelin, but has been officially named progestagen-associated endometrial protein. Three distinct forms, with identical protein backbones but different glycosylation profiles, are found in amniotic fluid, follicular fluid and seminal plasma of the reproductive system. These glycoproteins have distinct and essential roles in regulating a uterine environment suitable for pregnancy and in the timing and occurrence of the appropriate sequence of events in the fertilization process. The PAEP Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological tool designed for the detection and quantification of the Progestagen-associated endometrial protein (PAEP) in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a specific region of the PAEP protein.
The PAEP Polyclonal Antibody exhibits exceptional affinity and selectivity towards PAEP, enabling accurate and reliable measurement of this protein in a wide range of applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA).
With its superior sensitivity, this antibody allows for the detection of even low levels of PAEP, making it an invaluable tool for researchers and clinicians studying the role of PAEP in reproductive biology, endometrial function, and pregnancy-related disorders.
The PAEP Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation, ensuring ease of use and convenience. It is provided in a ready-to-use format, eliminating the need for time-consuming reconstitution or dilution steps.
Furthermore, this antibody has been rigorously tested for its specificity and performance, ensuring consistent and reproducible results. It exhibits minimal cross-reactivity with other related proteins, ensuring accurate and specific detection of PAEP.
In summary, the PAEP Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and efficient tool for the detection and quantification of PAEP in various biological samples. Its exceptional sensitivity, specificity, and ease of use make it an ideal choice for researchers and clinicians working in the field of reproductive biology and related disciplines.
