This gene encodes a cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor, which shares a limited similarity with CDK inhibitor CDKN1A/p21. The encoded protein binds to and prevents the activation of cyclin E-CDK2 or cyclin D-CDK4 complexes, and thus controls the cell cycle progression at G1. The degradation of this protein, which is triggered by its CDK dependent phosphorylation and subsequent ubiquitination by SCF complexes, is required for the cellular transition from quiescence to the proliferative state. Mutations in this gene are associated with multiple endocrine neoplasia type IV (MEN4).
The p27(Phospho Thr187) Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool for the detection and quantification of p27 protein phosphorylated at threonine 187. This antibody has been rigorously validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
The p27 protein plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation and acts as a tumor suppressor. Phosphorylation of p27 at threonine 187 has been implicated in the modulation of its stability and subcellular localization, thereby affecting its function in cell cycle progression and cell proliferation.
Our p27(Phospho Thr187) Polyclonal Antibody has been developed using state-of-the-art techniques and exhibits exceptional specificity and sensitivity. It has been extensively tested and validated to ensure reliable and reproducible results.
This antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation, ready for immediate use. It is provided in a convenient size and concentration, allowing for easy handling and storage. The antibody is suitable for use with a variety of sample types, including cell lysates, tissue extracts, and cultured cells.
When used in Western blotting, the p27(Phospho Thr187) Polyclonal Antibody demonstrates a strong and specific signal, enabling accurate detection and quantification of phosphorylated p27 protein. In immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence applications, this antibody exhibits excellent staining patterns, allowing for precise localization of phosphorylated p27 within cells and tissues.
Overall, the p27(Phospho Thr187) Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and versatile tool for researchers studying cell cycle regulation, tumor suppression, and related fields.
