The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the neurotrophin family, that controls survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. This protein is closely related to both nerve growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor. It may be involved in the maintenance of the adult nervous system, and may affect development of neurons in the embryo when it is expressed in human placenta. NTF3-deficient mice generated by gene targeting display severe movement defects of the limbs. The mature peptide of this protein is identical in all mammals examined including human, pig, rat and mouse.
The NT-3 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody that has been developed for use in various research applications. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of the human NT-3 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody has been purified using a combination of protein A and protein G affinity chromatography to ensure high purity and specificity.
The NT-3 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA. It has been shown to specifically recognize the NT-3 protein in human, mouse, and rat tissues, making it a valuable tool for studying the expression and function of NT-3 in various biological systems.
This antibody is supplied as a liquid in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is available in various sizes to meet the needs of different research applications. The NT-3 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and high-quality reagent that can be used with confidence in a wide range of research applications.
