This gene encodes a member of the receptor tyrosine kinase family of proteins and the product of the proto-oncogene MET. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate alpha and beta subunits that are linked via disulfide bonds to form the mature receptor. Further processing of the beta subunit results in the formation of the M10 peptide, which has been shown to reduce lung fibrosis. Binding of its ligand, hepatocyte growth factor, induces dimerization and activation of the receptor, which plays a role in cellular survival, embryogenesis, and cellular migration and invasion. Mutations in this gene are associated with papillary renal cell carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and various head and neck cancers. Amplification and overexpression of this gene are also associated with multiple human cancers.
The MEK-3(Phospho Ser218) Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool for the detection and quantification of MEK-3 protein phosphorylated at Ser218. This antibody has been rigorously validated for its specificity and performance in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
The MEK-3 protein plays a crucial role in the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway, which regulates various cellular processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Phosphorylation of MEK-3 at Ser218 is known to activate its kinase activity and initiate downstream signaling events.
This polyclonal antibody has been developed using high-quality immunogens and advanced immunization techniques to ensure optimal specificity and sensitivity. It has been extensively tested against a wide range of samples, including human, mouse, and rat tissues, to ensure reliable and reproducible results.
The MEK-3(Phospho Ser218) Polyclonal Antibody exhibits excellent performance in Western blotting, with a strong and specific signal observed at the expected molecular weight of MEK-3 protein. It also shows robust staining in immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence assays, allowing for precise localization and visualization of phosphorylated MEK-3 protein in various cellular and tissue contexts.
This antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in a convenient size, ensuring ease of use and minimizing waste. It is provided in a ready-to-use format, eliminating the need for time-consuming and error-prone antibody dilutions.
In summary, the MEK-3(Phospho Ser218) Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and versatile tool for the study of MEK-3 protein phosphorylation. Its high specificity, sensitivity, and performance in various applications make it an essential reagent for researchers investigating the MAPK signaling pathway and its role in cellular processes.
