This gene encodes a nuclear-localized E3 ubiquitin ligase. The encoded protein can promote tumor formation by targeting tumor suppressor proteins, such as p53, for proteasomal degradation. This gene is itself transcriptionally-regulated by p53. Overexpression or amplification of this locus is detected in a variety of different cancers. There is a pseudogene for this gene on chromosome 2. Alternative splicing results in a multitude of transcript variants, many of which may be expressed only in tumor cells.
The MDM2(Phospho Ser186/S188) Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and quantification of MDM2 protein phosphorylated at Serine 186 and Serine 188 residues. This antibody is produced using advanced polyclonal antibody technology, ensuring high affinity and specificity towards the target protein.
MDM2 is a crucial regulator of the tumor suppressor protein p53, playing a pivotal role in cell cycle control, apoptosis, and DNA repair. Phosphorylation of MDM2 at Serine 186 and Serine 188 residues has been implicated in the modulation of its activity and stability, thereby influencing the p53 pathway.
The MDM2(Phospho Ser186/S188) Polyclonal Antibody has been rigorously validated for its performance in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It exhibits exceptional sensitivity and specificity, enabling accurate and reliable detection of phosphorylated MDM2 in various sample types.
This antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation, ready for immediate use. It has been optimized for use in a wide range of experimental conditions, ensuring consistent and reproducible results. The MDM2(Phospho Ser186/S188) Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for both research and diagnostic applications, aiding in the understanding and diagnosis of various diseases, including cancer.
With its exceptional performance and reliability, the MDM2(Phospho Ser186/S188) Polyclonal Antibody is an indispensable tool for researchers and clinicians working in the field of cancer biology and molecular diagnostics.
