The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper (bHLHZ) family of transcription factors. It is able to form homodimers and heterodimers with other family members, which include Mad, Mxi1 and Myc. Myc is an oncoprotein implicated in cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. The homodimers and heterodimers compete for a common DNA target site (the E box) and rearrangement among these dimer forms provides a complex system of transcriptional regulation. Mutations of this gene have been reported to be associated with hereditary pheochromocytoma. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 7. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

The Max(Phospho Ser2) Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool for the detection and quantification of Max protein phosphorylated at Serine 2. This antibody has been rigorously validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.

The Max protein plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression and is involved in numerous cellular processes, such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Phosphorylation of Max at Serine 2 has been shown to modulate its activity and influence its interaction with other proteins, thereby affecting downstream signaling pathways.

Our Max(Phospho Ser2) Polyclonal Antibody has been carefully developed using state-of-the-art techniques to ensure high specificity and sensitivity. It has been extensively tested and validated to provide reliable and reproducible results. This antibody exhibits minimal cross-reactivity with non-phosphorylated Max protein, ensuring accurate detection and quantification of the phosphorylated form.

With its exceptional performance characteristics, the Max(Phospho Ser2) Polyclonal Antibody is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the role of Max protein phosphorylation in various biological processes. Its versatility allows for its use in a wide range of experimental settings, making it an essential component of any molecular biology laboratory.
