Lymphotoxin beta is a type II membrane protein of the TNF family. It anchors lymphotoxin-alpha to the cell surface through heterotrimer formation. The predominant form on the lymphocyte surface is the lymphotoxin-alpha 1/beta 2 complex (e.g. 1 molecule alpha/2 molecules beta) and this complex is the primary ligand for the lymphotoxin-beta receptor. The minor complex is lymphotoxin-alpha 2/beta 1. LTB is an inducer of the inflammatory response system and involved in normal development of lymphoid tissue. Lymphotoxin-beta isoform b is unable to complex with lymphotoxin-alpha suggesting a function for lymphotoxin-beta which is independent of lympyhotoxin-alpha. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
The LT-beta Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody that has been developed for the detection of LT-beta protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human LT-beta protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and is suitable for use in a variety of applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA.
The LT-beta Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity. It has been shown to recognize LT-beta protein from a variety of species, including human, mouse, and rat. In addition, this antibody has been shown to be highly sensitive, with a detection limit of less than 1 ng/mL in ELISA assays.
This antibody is supplied as a liquid in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is recommended to store the antibody at -20°C or below for long-term storage. Before use, the antibody should be thawed and diluted in an appropriate buffer.
Overall, the LT-beta Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and high-quality reagent that is ideal for the detection of LT-beta protein in various biological samples. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of LT-beta in various physiological and pathological processes.
