The low density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) gene family consists of cell surface proteins involved in receptor-mediated endocytosis of specific ligands. Low density lipoprotein (LDL) is normally bound at the cell membrane and taken into the cell ending up in lysosomes where the protein is degraded and the cholesterol is made available for repression of microsomal enzyme 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG CoA) reductase, the rate-limiting step in cholesterol synthesis. At the same time, a reciprocal stimulation of cholesterol ester synthesis takes place. Mutations in this gene cause the autosomal dominant disorder, familial hypercholesterolemia. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

The LDLR Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and quantification of low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using a polyclonal approach, ensuring a diverse range of epitope recognition and enhanced sensitivity.

The LDLR Polyclonal Antibody exhibits exceptional performance in a wide range of applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It has been rigorously validated to provide reliable and reproducible results, making it an ideal choice for both research and diagnostic purposes.

With its high affinity and specificity towards LDLR, this antibody enables accurate and precise analysis of LDLR expression levels in different tissues and cell types. Its superior sensitivity allows for the detection of even low abundance LDLR protein, facilitating the study of its role in lipid metabolism and cardiovascular diseases.

The LDLR Polyclonal Antibody is manufactured using state-of-the-art techniques and undergoes stringent quality control measures to ensure batch-to-batch consistency and optimal performance. It is supplied as a ready-to-use solution, eliminating the need for time-consuming antibody preparation.

In summary, the LDLR Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and versatile tool for the investigation of LDLR protein expression and function. Its exceptional sensitivity, specificity, and ease of use make it an invaluable asset for researchers and clinicians alike in the field of lipid metabolism and cardiovascular research.
