This gene encodes the B subunit of lactate dehydrogenase enzyme, which catalyzes the interconversion of pyruvate and lactate with concomitant interconversion of NADH and NAD+ in a post-glycolysis process. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. Recent studies have shown that a C-terminally extended isoform is produced by use of an alternative in-frame translation termination codon via a stop codon readthrough mechanism, and that this isoform is localized in the peroxisomes. Mutations in this gene are associated with lactate dehydrogenase B deficiency. Pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes X, 5 and 13.

The LDHB Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and quantification of lactate dehydrogenase B (LDHB) protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using state-of-the-art technology and has been rigorously tested to ensure its reliability and accuracy.

LDHB is an essential enzyme involved in the conversion of pyruvate to lactate during anaerobic glycolysis. It plays a crucial role in energy metabolism and is found in various tissues, including skeletal muscle, liver, and heart. Dysregulation of LDHB expression has been implicated in numerous diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and metabolic disorders.

The LDHB Polyclonal Antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards LDHB protein, making it an ideal tool for researchers and clinicians studying the role of LDHB in various physiological and pathological processes. It can be used in a wide range of applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA).

This antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation, allowing for easy and convenient handling. It is provided in a ready-to-use format, eliminating the need for time-consuming and complex preparation steps. The LDHB Polyclonal Antibody is compatible with various detection systems and can be used in combination with other antibodies for multiplex analysis.

With its exceptional performance and reliability, the LDHB Polyclonal Antibody is an indispensable tool for researchers and clinicians working in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, and medicine. Its accurate and sensitive detection capabilities make it an invaluable asset in understanding the role of LDHB in health and disease.
