The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the IL10 cytokine subfamily. This cytokine is found to be preferentially expressed in monocytes. It can bind the IL20 receptor complex and lead to the activation of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3). A similar cytokine in mouse is reported to up-regulate the expression of IL6 and TNF-alpha and induce apoptosis, which suggests a role of this cytokine in inflammatory responses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the distinct isoforms have been described.
The IL-19 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of Interleukin-19 (IL-19) in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human IL-19 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and is suitable for use in various applications, including Western blotting, ELISA, and immunohistochemistry.
The IL-19 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in detecting IL-19 protein in human and mouse samples. It has been shown to exhibit minimal cross-reactivity with other related cytokines, ensuring accurate and reliable results. This antibody is also highly reproducible, providing consistent results across multiple experiments.
The IL-19 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is available in various sizes to suit different experimental needs. This antibody is intended for research use only and is not suitable for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
Overall, the IL-19 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of IL-19 in various biological processes and diseases. Its high specificity, sensitivity, and reproducibility make it an ideal choice for detecting and quantifying IL-19 protein in biological samples.
