The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that regulates T and natural killer cell activation and proliferation. This cytokine and interleukine 2 share many biological activities. They are found to bind common hematopoietin receptor subunits, and may compete for the same receptor, and thus negatively regulate each other's activity. The number of CD8+ memory cells is shown to be controlled by a balance between this cytokine and IL2. This cytokine induces the activation of JAK kinases, as well as the phosphorylation and activation of transcription activators STAT3, STAT5, and STAT6. Studies of the mouse counterpart suggested that this cytokine may increase the expression of apoptosis inhibitor BCL2L1/BCL-x(L), possibly through the transcription activation activity of STAT6, and thus prevent apoptosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been reported.

The IL-15 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and quantification of Interleukin-15 (IL-15) in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using a polyclonal approach, ensuring a diverse range of antibodies that target different epitopes of IL-15.

IL-15 is a cytokine that plays a crucial role in the immune system, particularly in the activation and proliferation of T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. It is involved in various physiological and pathological processes, including inflammation, autoimmune diseases, and cancer. Therefore, accurate measurement of IL-15 levels is essential for understanding its role in these processes.

The IL-15 Polyclonal Antibody exhibits high specificity and sensitivity, enabling reliable and precise detection of IL-15 in complex biological matrices. It has been extensively validated for use in various immunoassays, including enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry.

This antibody is manufactured using state-of-the-art techniques and undergoes rigorous quality control to ensure consistent performance and reproducibility. It is supplied as a liquid formulation, ready for immediate use, and is compatible with a wide range of sample types, including serum, plasma, cell lysates, and tissue homogenates.

The IL-15 Polyclonal Antibody is an indispensable tool for researchers and clinicians studying the role of IL-15 in various diseases and therapeutic interventions. Its high specificity, sensitivity, and versatility make it an ideal choice for accurate and reliable IL-15 detection and quantification.
