The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the glutathione peroxidase family, members of which catalyze the reduction of organic hydroperoxides and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) by glutathione, and thereby protect cells against oxidative damage. Several isozymes of this gene family exist in vertebrates, which vary in cellular location and substrate specificity. This isozyme is secreted, and is abundantly found in plasma. Downregulation of expression of this gene by promoter hypermethylation has been observed in a wide spectrum of human malignancies, including thyroid cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma and chronic myeloid leukemia. This isozyme is also a selenoprotein, containing the rare amino acid selenocysteine (Sec) at its active site. Sec is encoded by the UGA codon, which normally signals translation termination. The 3' UTRs of selenoprotein mRNAs contain a conserved stem-loop structure, designa

The GPX3 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool for the detection and quantification of Glutathione Peroxidase 3 (GPX3) protein in various biological samples. This antibody has been meticulously developed and rigorously validated to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Glutathione Peroxidase 3 is an essential enzyme that plays a crucial role in protecting cells from oxidative damage by catalyzing the reduction of hydrogen peroxide and organic hydroperoxides. GPX3 is primarily expressed in the kidneys and plasma, and its dysregulation has been implicated in various pathological conditions, including cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and neurodegenerative disorders.

The GPX3 Polyclonal Antibody exhibits exceptional specificity, binding exclusively to GPX3 protein without cross-reactivity to other related proteins. This antibody has been extensively characterized using various experimental techniques, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, to ensure its accuracy and reliability in detecting GPX3 protein in different sample types.

Furthermore, the GPX3 Polyclonal Antibody demonstrates excellent sensitivity, enabling the detection of low levels of GPX3 protein with high precision. This attribute makes it an ideal tool for quantitative analysis of GPX3 expression levels in both normal and disease states.

The GPX3 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a purified and lyophilized product, ensuring long-term stability and ease of storage. It is compatible with a wide range of applications, including ELISA, immunoprecipitation, and flow cytometry, providing researchers with versatile options for their experimental needs.

In summary, the GPX3 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and high-quality reagent that enables accurate detection and quantification of GPX3 protein. Its exceptional specificity, sensitivity, and compatibility with various experimental techniques make it an invaluable tool for researchers studying the role of GPX3 in health and disease.
