The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the immunophilin protein family, which play a role in immunoregulation and basic cellular processes involving protein folding and trafficking. This encoded protein is a cis-trans prolyl isomerase that binds the immunosuppressants FK506 and rapamycin. It is thought to function as an ER chaperone and may also act as a component of membrane cytoskeletal scaffolds. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified.
The FKBP2 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of FKBP2 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human FKBP2 protein. The antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.
The FKBP2 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It recognizes a single band of approximately 25 kDa in Western blot analysis of human, mouse, and rat cell lysates. The antibody also shows strong staining of FKBP2 protein in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human tissues, indicating its suitability for use in immunohistochemistry.
This antibody is an essential tool for researchers studying the function and regulation of FKBP2 protein in various biological processes, including protein folding, trafficking, and signaling. It is also useful for the development of diagnostic and therapeutic applications targeting FKBP2 protein. The FKBP2 Polyclonal Antibody is available in various sizes and formats to meet the specific needs of researchers.
