This gene encodes an elastase-specific inhibitor that functions as an antimicrobial peptide against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and fungal pathogens. The protein contains a WAP-type four-disulfide core (WFDC) domain, and is thus a member of the WFDC domain family. Most WFDC gene members are localized to chromosome 20q12-q13 in two clusters: centromeric and telomeric. This gene belongs to the centromeric cluster. Expression of this gene is upgulated by bacterial lipopolysaccharides and cytokines.

The EGR2 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of Early Growth Response 2 (EGR2) protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human EGR2 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and validated for its specificity and sensitivity through various assays.

The EGR2 protein is a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in the regulation of cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. It is involved in the development and maintenance of the nervous system, as well as in the immune response and cancer progression. The EGR2 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for researchers studying the function and expression of EGR2 protein in various biological processes.

This antibody is suitable for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It has been validated for its specificity and sensitivity in human, mouse, and rat samples. The EGR2 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a liquid in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.

In summary, the EGR2 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and high-quality antibody that provides accurate and reproducible results in the detection of EGR2 protein. It is an essential tool for researchers studying the role of EGR2 in various biological processes and diseases.
