This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This protein likely localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum. When expressed in yeast the enzyme is capable of oxdizing arachidonic acid. It can also catalyze the epoxidation of 22:6n-3 and 22:5n-3 polyunsaturated long-chain fatty acids. This gene is part of a cluster of cytochrome P450 genes on chromosome 19. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
The CP4FC Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for use in various research applications. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a unique sequence of the CP4FC protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards the CP4FC protein, making it an ideal tool for detecting and quantifying CP4FC protein expression in various biological samples.
The CP4FC Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for use in Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence assays. It has been shown to detect endogenous levels of CP4FC protein in various cell lines and tissues, and can be used to monitor changes in CP4FC protein expression under different experimental conditions.
This antibody is supplied as a purified IgG fraction, and has been tested for its ability to recognize the CP4FC protein in a variety of species, including human, mouse, and rat. It is recommended for use at a dilution of 1:1000 for Western blotting, and 1:200 for immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence assays.
Overall, the CP4FC Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and versatile tool for studying the expression and function of the CP4FC protein in various biological systems. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an essential reagent for researchers working in the fields of cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology.
