This gene encodes a member of the CD1 family of transmembrane glycoproteins, which are structurally related to the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) proteins and form heterodimers with beta-2-microglobulin. The CD1 proteins mediate the presentation of primarily lipid and glycolipid antigens of self or microbial origin to T cells. The human genome contains five CD1 family genes organized in a cluster on chromosome 1. The CD1 family members are thought to differ in their cellular localization and specificity for particular lipid ligands. The protein encoded by this gene localizes to the plasma membrane and to recycling vesicles of the early endocytic system. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
The CD1A/B Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of CD1A/B proteins in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human CD1A/B protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards CD1A/B proteins, making it an ideal tool for a wide range of applications in research and diagnostics.
The CD1A/B Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for use in various immunoassays, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry. It has been validated for use in human, mouse, and rat samples, and has been shown to exhibit minimal cross-reactivity with other proteins. This antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.
The CD1A/B Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and versatile tool for the detection and quantification of CD1A/B proteins in various biological samples. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for researchers and clinicians working in the fields of immunology, oncology, and infectious diseases. With its excellent performance and ease of use, this antibody is a valuable addition to any laboratory's toolkit.
