This gene is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and encodes a protein which transmits an inhibitory signal to T cells. The protein contains a V domain, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. The membrane-bound isoform functions as a homodimer interconnected by a disulfide bond, while the soluble isoform functions as a monomer. Mutations in this gene have been associated with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, Graves disease, Hashimoto thyroiditis, celiac disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, thyroid-associated orbitopathy, and other autoimmune diseases.
The CD152 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of CD152 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human CD152 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards CD152 protein, making it an ideal tool for various research applications.
The CD152 Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for use in a variety of immunoassays, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry. It has been validated for use in human, mouse, and rat samples, and has been shown to detect both the full-length and truncated forms of CD152 protein. This antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.
The CD152 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of CD152 protein in immune regulation and tolerance. It can be used to investigate the expression and localization of CD152 protein in various tissues and cell types, as well as to monitor changes in CD152 protein levels under different experimental conditions. With its high sensitivity and specificity, this antibody is an essential reagent for any laboratory conducting research in the field of immunology.
