Isocitrate dehydrogenases catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to 2-oxoglutarate. These enzymes belong to two distinct subclasses| one of which utilizes NAD(+) as the electron acceptor and the other NADP(+). Five isocitrate dehydrogenases have been reported: three NAD(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenases| which localize to the mitochondrial matrix| and two NADP(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenases| one of which is mitochondrial and the other predominantly cytosolic. NAD(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenases catalyze the allosterically regulated rate-limiting step of the tricarboxylic acid cycle. Each isozyme is a heterotetramer that is composed of two alpha subunits| one beta subunit| and one gamma subunit. The protein encoded by this gene is the gamma subunit of one isozyme of NAD(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase. This gene is a candidate gene for p
The IDH3G Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of IDH3G protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human IDH3G protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and validated for its specificity and sensitivity in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
The IDH3G protein is a subunit of the isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) enzyme complex, which plays a critical role in the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle and cellular metabolism. Mutations in IDH3G have been associated with various diseases, including cancer and metabolic disorders. Therefore, the IDH3G Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the function and regulation of IDH3G protein in normal and disease states.
This antibody is supplied as a liquid in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is available in various sizes and formats to meet the needs of different applications. The IDH3G Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and high-quality reagent that can provide accurate and reproducible results in various research settings.
