TJP2 (tight junction protein 2) encodes a zonula occluden that is a member of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase homolog family. The encoded protein functions as a component of the tight junction barrier in epithelial and endothelial cells and is necessary for proper assembly of tight junctions. Mutations in TJP2 have been identified in patients with hypercholanemia, and genomic duplication of a 270 kb region including this gene causes autosomal dominant deafness-51. Alternatively spliced transcripts encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for TJP2.
The ZO-2 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and reliable tool designed for the detection and analysis of ZO-2 protein expression in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using advanced immunization techniques, ensuring high affinity and sensitivity towards ZO-2 protein.
ZO-2, also known as Zonula Occludens 2, is a crucial component of tight junctions, which play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and barrier function of epithelial and endothelial cells. Dysregulation of ZO-2 expression has been implicated in various pathological conditions, including cancer, inflammation, and autoimmune diseases. Therefore, accurate detection and quantification of ZO-2 protein levels are of utmost importance in understanding the underlying mechanisms and developing potential therapeutic interventions.
The ZO-2 Polyclonal Antibody exhibits exceptional specificity, as it has been extensively validated against a wide range of cell lines and tissues. It recognizes both the full-length and cleaved forms of ZO-2 protein, enabling comprehensive analysis of its expression patterns. This antibody demonstrates minimal cross-reactivity with other related proteins, ensuring reliable and accurate results.
Furthermore, the ZO-2 Polyclonal Antibody is compatible with various experimental techniques, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It exhibits excellent signal-to-noise ratio and provides clear and distinct staining, facilitating precise localization and visualization of ZO-2 protein within cells and tissues.
In summary, the ZO-2 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and reliable tool for the detection and analysis of ZO-2 protein expression. Its exceptional specificity, compatibility with multiple experimental techniques, and reliable performance make it an invaluable asset for researchers and scientists studying tight junctions, epithelial and endothelial cell biology, and related pathological conditions.
