XIAP encodes E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase XIAP that belongs to a family of apoptotic suppressor proteins. Members of this family share a conserved motif termed, baculovirus IAP repeat, which is necessary for their anti-apoptotic function. This protein functions through binding to tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factors TRAF1 and TRAF2 and inhibits apoptosis induced by menadione, a potent inducer of free radicals, and interleukin 1-beta converting enzyme. This protein also inhibits at least two members of the caspase family of cell-death proteases, caspase-3 and caspase-7. Mutations in this gene are the cause of X-linked lymphoproliferative syndrome. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Pseudogenes of this gene are found on chromosomes 2 and 11.
The XIAP Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and reliable tool designed for the detection and quantification of X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis (XIAP) protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using state-of-the-art techniques, ensuring exceptional quality and performance.
The XIAP Polyclonal Antibody exhibits a high affinity towards XIAP protein, enabling accurate and sensitive detection even at low concentrations. It has been extensively validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
This antibody offers exceptional specificity, as it does not cross-react with other related proteins, ensuring reliable and precise results. Its polyclonal nature allows for enhanced sensitivity and versatility, making it an ideal choice for researchers and scientists working in the field of apoptosis and cell death.
The XIAP Polyclonal Antibody is supplied in a convenient and ready-to-use format, eliminating the need for time-consuming preparations. It is available in different sizes to accommodate various experimental requirements.
With its exceptional quality, reliability, and specificity, the XIAP Polyclonal Antibody is an indispensable tool for studying XIAP protein expression and function in diverse biological systems.
