Synapotobrevins, syntaxins, and the synaptosomal-associated protein SNAP25 are the main components of a protein complex involved in the docking and/or fusion of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic membrane. The protein encoded by VAMP1 (vesicle associated membrane protein 1) is a member of the vesicle-associated membrane protein (VAMP)/synaptobrevin family. Mutations in VAMP1 are associated with autosomal dominant spastic ataxia 1. Multiple alternative splice variants have been described, but the full-length nature of some variants has not been defined.
The VAMP-1/2/3 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of vesicle-associated membrane protein 1, 2, and 3 (VAMP-1/2/3) in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of VAMP-1/2/3. The resulting polyclonal antibody is purified using protein A affinity chromatography and is validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
The VAMP-1/2/3 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of VAMP-1/2/3 in vesicle trafficking and exocytosis. It has been shown to exhibit high specificity and sensitivity, with minimal cross-reactivity to other proteins. Additionally, this antibody has been extensively tested in various cell lines and tissues, ensuring reliable and reproducible results.
Overall, the VAMP-1/2/3 Polyclonal Antibody is a high-quality research reagent that offers exceptional performance and versatility for the detection of VAMP-1/2/3 in a variety of biological samples. Its use can help advance our understanding of the complex mechanisms underlying vesicle trafficking and exocytosis, and ultimately contribute to the development of new therapies for a range of diseases.
