Troponin I (TnI), along with troponin T (TnT) and troponin C (TnC), is one of 3 subunits that form the troponin complex of the thin filaments of striated muscle. TnI is the inhibitory subunit; blocking actin-myosin interactions and thereby mediating striated muscle relaxation. The TnI subfamily contains three genes: tnI-skeletal-fast-twitch, TnI-skeletal-slow-twitch, and TnI-cardiac. TNNI3 encodes the TnI-cardiac protein and is exclusively expressed in cardiac muscle tissues. Mutations in this gene cause familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy type 7 (CMH7) and familial restrictive cardiomyopathy (RCM).
The Troponin I-C Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody that is designed to detect the presence of Troponin I-C in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using a polyclonal approach, which ensures that it recognizes multiple epitopes of the target protein, resulting in a high degree of specificity and sensitivity.
The Troponin I-C Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for use in a wide range of applications, including Western blotting, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It has been extensively validated for use in research studies and clinical diagnostics, and has been shown to provide reliable and reproducible results.
This antibody is supplied in a convenient format, with a range of sizes available to suit different experimental needs. It is also provided with detailed instructions for use, ensuring that researchers can achieve optimal results with minimal effort.
Overall, the Troponin I-C Polyclonal Antibody is a high-quality reagent that is ideal for researchers and clinicians who require a reliable and sensitive tool for detecting Troponin I-C in biological samples.
