BCCIP (BRCA2 and CDKN1A interacting protein) product was isolated on the basis of its interaction with BRCA2 and p21 proteins. It is an evolutionarily conserved nuclear protein with multiple interacting domains. The N-terminal half shares moderate homology with regions of calmodulin and M-calpain, suggesting that it may also bind calcium. Functional studies indicate that this protein may be an important cofactor for BRCA2 in tumor suppression, and a modulator of CDK2 kinase activity via p21. This protein has also been implicated in the regulation of BRCA2 and RAD51 nuclear focus formation, double-strand break-induced homologous recombination, and cell cycle progression. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for BCCIP.

The TOK-1 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of TOK-1 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of the human TOK-1 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards the target protein, making it an ideal tool for various research applications.

The TOK-1 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its performance in Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence assays. It recognizes a single band of the expected molecular weight in Western blotting and shows strong staining in immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence assays. The antibody has also been tested in various cell lines and tissues, demonstrating its broad applicability in different experimental settings.

This antibody is supplied as a purified IgG fraction, which has been affinity-purified from rabbit serum using a protein A column. The purified antibody is provided in a liquid form, ready to use for various applications. It is recommended to store the antibody at -20°C for long-term storage and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

In summary, the TOK-1 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and high-quality reagent for the detection and quantification of TOK-1 protein in various biological samples. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal tool for various research applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence assays.
