ALPL encodes a member of the alkaline phosphatase family of proteins. There are at least four distinct but related alkaline phosphatases: intestinal, placental, placental-like, and liver/bone/kidney (tissue non-specific). The first three are located together on chromosome 2, while the tissue non-specific form is located on chromosome 1. The product of this gene is a membrane bound glycosylated enzyme that is not expressed in any particular tissue and is, therefore, referred to as the tissue-nonspecific form of the enzyme. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to generate the mature enzyme. This enzyme may play a role in bone mineralization. Mutations in this gene have been linked to hypophosphatasia, a disorder that is characterized by hypercalcemia and skeletal defects.
The TNAP Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and reliable tool designed for the detection and quantification of tissue-nonspecific alkaline phosphatase (TNAP) in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using advanced immunization techniques, ensuring a high affinity and specificity towards TNAP.
With its exceptional sensitivity, the TNAP Polyclonal Antibody enables accurate and precise measurement of TNAP levels, making it an invaluable asset for researchers and clinicians alike. Its wide range of applications includes but is not limited to enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and western blotting.
The TNAP Polyclonal Antibody exhibits excellent performance across multiple species, including human, mouse, and rat, making it suitable for a diverse range of experimental models. Its robust and consistent results guarantee reproducibility and reliability, facilitating the advancement of scientific research and diagnostic investigations.
Manufactured under stringent quality control measures, this antibody ensures batch-to-batch consistency, minimizing experimental variability. Its long shelf life and stability further enhance its usability and convenience.
In summary, the TNAP Polyclonal Antibody is a superior reagent that offers exceptional sensitivity, specificity, and versatility for the detection and quantification of TNAP. Its reliability, reproducibility, and ease of use make it an indispensable tool for researchers and clinicians in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, and clinical diagnostics.
