TIE1 (tyrosine kinase with immunoglobulin like and EGF like domains 1) encodes a member of the tyrosine protein kinase family. The encoded protein plays a critical role in angiogenesis and blood vessel stability by inhibiting angiopoietin 1 signaling through the endothelial receptor tyrosine kinase Tie2. Ectodomain cleavage of the encoded protein relieves inhibition of Tie2 and is mediated by multiple factors including vascular endothelial growth factor. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for TIE1.
The Tie-1 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of Tie-1 protein expression in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human Tie-1 protein, followed by affinity purification using a column containing immobilized Tie-1 protein. The resulting antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards Tie-1 protein, with minimal cross-reactivity to other related proteins.
The Tie-1 Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for a wide range of applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA. It has been validated for use in human, mouse, and rat samples, and has been shown to detect both full-length and truncated forms of Tie-1 protein. This antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative, and is available in various sizes to meet the needs of different experimental setups.
In summary, the Tie-1 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and versatile tool for the detection and quantification of Tie-1 protein expression in various biological samples. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for researchers studying Tie-1 protein function and regulation in health and disease.
