The protein encoded by RAD21 (RAD21 cohesin complex component) is highly similar to the gene product of Schizosaccharomyces pombe rad21, a gene involved in the repair of DNA double-strand breaks, as well as in chromatid cohesion during mitosis. This protein is a nuclear phospho-protein, which becomes hyperphosphorylated in cell cycle M phase. The highly regulated association of this protein with mitotic chromatin specifically at the centromere region suggests its role in sister chromatid cohesion in mitotic cells.
The Rad21 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and reliable tool designed for the detection and analysis of Rad21 protein expression in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using advanced immunization techniques, ensuring high affinity and sensitivity.
The Rad21 protein plays a crucial role in the regulation of cell cycle progression and DNA repair mechanisms. It is a key component of the cohesin complex, which is responsible for the proper segregation of chromosomes during cell division. Dysregulation of Rad21 expression has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer.
The Rad21 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and performance in a wide range of applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It exhibits minimal cross-reactivity with other related proteins, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
With its superior quality and performance, the Rad21 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for researchers and scientists studying cell cycle regulation, DNA repair mechanisms, and the role of Rad21 in various diseases. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for both basic research and clinical applications.
