SELPLG encodes a glycoprotein that functions as a high affinity counter-receptor for the cell adhesion molecules P-, E- and L- selectin expressed on myeloid cells and stimulated T lymphocytes. As such, selectin P ligand plays a critical role in leukocyte trafficking during inflammation by tethering of leukocytes to activated platelets or endothelia expressing selectins. This protein requires two post-translational modifications, tyrosine sulfation and the addition of the sialyl Lewis x tetrasaccharide (sLex) to its O-linked glycans, for its high-affinity binding activity. Aberrant expression of this gene and polymorphisms in this gene are associated with defects in the innate and adaptive immune response. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

The PSGL-1 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and reliable tool designed for the detection and analysis of P-selectin glycoprotein ligand-1 (PSGL-1) in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using advanced immunization techniques, ensuring high affinity and sensitivity.

PSGL-1 is a cell surface glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in leukocyte rolling and adhesion during inflammation and immune responses. The PSGL-1 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and functionality in various experimental settings, including immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and Western blotting.

With its exceptional performance, this antibody enables researchers to investigate the expression and localization of PSGL-1 in different tissues and cell types. Its broad reactivity across multiple species, including human, mouse, and rat, further enhances its versatility and applicability in diverse research fields.

The PSGL-1 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation, allowing for easy handling and convenient storage. It is provided in a range of sizes to accommodate various experimental needs. Each batch of this antibody undergoes rigorous quality control procedures to ensure consistent and reliable results.

In summary, the PSGL-1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of PSGL-1 in inflammation, immune responses, and other related processes. Its high specificity, sensitivity, and broad reactivity make it an indispensable asset in the field of biomedical research.
