Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients with an inherited form of the disease carry mutations in the presenilin proteins (PSEN1; PSEN2) or in the amyloid precursor protein (APP). These disease-linked mutations result in increased production of the longer form of amyloid-beta (main component of amyloid deposits found in AD brains). Presenilins are postulated to regulate APP processing through their effects on gamma-secretase, an enzyme that cleaves APP. Also, it is thought that the presenilins are involved in the cleavage of the Notch receptor, such that they either directly regulate gamma-secretase activity or themselves are protease enzymes. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene, the full-length nature of only some have been determined.

The PS-1 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and reliable tool for the detection and analysis of PS-1 protein expression. This antibody is produced through a rigorous process of immunization using a purified PS-1 protein as the antigen. It has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.

The PS-1 Polyclonal Antibody exhibits exceptional affinity towards PS-1 protein, enabling accurate and precise detection even at low expression levels. Its high specificity ensures minimal cross-reactivity with other proteins, guaranteeing reliable and reproducible results. This antibody is suitable for use in both research and diagnostic settings, providing valuable insights into the role of PS-1 in various biological processes and diseases.

With its superior performance and robustness, the PS-1 Polyclonal Antibody offers researchers and clinicians a powerful tool for studying PS-1 protein expression and its implications. Its versatility and compatibility with multiple techniques make it an essential component of any laboratory or clinical setting. Trust in the PS-1 Polyclonal Antibody to deliver accurate and reliable results, advancing your research and diagnostic endeavors.
