Protein phosphatase 2 (formerly named type 2A) is one of the four major Ser/Thr phosphatases and is implicated in the negative control of cell growth and division. Protein phosphatase 2 holoenzymes are heterotrimeric proteins composed of a structural subunit A, a catalytic subunit C, and a regulatory subunit B. The regulatory subunit is encoded by a diverse set of genes that have been grouped into the B/PR55, B'/PR61, and B''/PR72 families. These different regulatory subunits confer distinct enzymatic specificities and intracellular localizations to the holozenzyme. The product of PPP2R3B belongs to the B'' family. The B'' family has been further divided into subfamilies. The product of this gene belongs to the beta subfamily of regulatory subunit B''.

The PR48 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of PR48 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human PR48 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards PR48 protein, making it an ideal tool for various research applications.

The PR48 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its performance in Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence assays. It recognizes a single band of the expected molecular weight in Western blotting and shows strong staining in PR48-expressing cells in immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence assays. The antibody has also been tested for its cross-reactivity with other related proteins and has been found to be highly specific for PR48 protein.

The PR48 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a purified IgG fraction in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. The antibody is provided in a convenient 100 µg size, which is sufficient for multiple experiments. The antibody is suitable for use in various research applications, including but not limited to, protein expression analysis, protein-protein interaction studies, and biomarker discovery.

In summary, the PR48 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent that is ideal for the detection and quantification of PR48 protein in various biological samples. Its high affinity and specificity, along with its extensive validation, make it a reliable tool for various research applications.
