Peroxisome proliferators include hypolipidemic drugs, herbicides, leukotriene antagonists, and plasticizers; this term arises because they induce an increase in the size and number of peroxisomes. Peroxisomes are subcellular organelles found in plants and animals that contain enzymes for respiration and for cholesterol and lipid metabolism. The action of peroxisome proliferators is thought to be mediated via specific receptors, called PPARs, which belong to the steroid hormone receptor superfamily. PPARs affect the expression of target genes involved in cell proliferation, cell differentiation and in immune and inflammation responses. Three closely related subtypes (alpha, beta/delta, and gamma) have been identified. PPARA (peroxisome proliferator activated receptor alpha) encodes the subtype PPAR-alpha, which is a nuclear transcription factor. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described for PPARA, although the full-length nature of only two has been determined.

The PPAR-Alpha Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and quantification of Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Alpha (PPAR-Alpha) protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using advanced polyclonal antibody production techniques, ensuring high affinity and specificity towards the target protein.

PPAR-Alpha is a nuclear receptor that plays a crucial role in regulating lipid metabolism and energy homeostasis. It is involved in the transcriptional control of genes related to fatty acid oxidation, lipoprotein metabolism, and inflammation. The PPAR-Alpha Polyclonal Antibody recognizes the full-length PPAR-Alpha protein as well as its isoforms, making it an ideal tool for studying the functional role of PPAR-Alpha in various physiological and pathological processes.

This antibody has been extensively validated for its performance in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It exhibits excellent sensitivity and specificity, enabling accurate and reliable detection of PPAR-Alpha protein even at low expression levels. The antibody is compatible with a wide range of sample types, including cell lysates, tissue homogenates, and serum, making it suitable for diverse research applications.

The PPAR-Alpha Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in a convenient size, ensuring ease of use and storage. It is provided in a ready-to-use format, eliminating the need for additional reagents or preparation steps. The antibody is manufactured under strict quality control standards, ensuring consistent and reproducible results across experiments.

In summary, the PPAR-Alpha Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and efficient tool for the detection and quantification of PPAR-Alpha protein. Its high specificity, sensitivity, and versatility make it an invaluable asset for researchers studying lipid metabolism, energy homeostasis, and related biological processes.
