Polyribonucleotide nucleotidyltransferase 1 encoded by PNPT1 elongs to the evolutionary conserved polynucleotide phosphorylase family comprised of phosphate dependent 3'-to-5' exoribonucleases implicated in RNA processing and degradation. Polyribonucleotide nucleotidyltransferase 1 is predominantly localized in the mitochondrial intermembrane space and is involved in import of RNA to mitochondria. Mutations in PNPT1 have been associated with combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency-13 and autosomal recessive nonsyndromic deafness-70. Related pseudogenes are found on chromosomes 3 and 7.
The PNPase Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of polynucleotide phosphorylase (PNPase) in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human PNPase protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards PNPase, making it an ideal tool for various applications such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
The PNPase Polyclonal Antibody is validated for use in human, mouse, and rat samples, and has been extensively tested for its specificity and sensitivity. It is a reliable and robust tool for the detection of PNPase in various biological samples, including tissues, cells, and body fluids. The antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.
In summary, the PNPase Polyclonal Antibody is a high-quality and reliable tool for the detection of PNPase in various biological samples. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for researchers and scientists working in the fields of molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology.
