PDGFB (platelet derived growth factor subunit B) encodes a member of the protein family comprised of both platelet-derived growth factors (PDGF) and vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGF). The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate platelet-derived growth factor subunit B, which can homodimerize, or alternatively, heterodimerize with the related platelet-derived growth factor subunit A. These proteins bind and activate PDGF receptor tyrosine kinases, which play a role in a wide range of developmental processes. Mutations in PDGFB are associated with meningioma. Reciprocal translocations between chromosomes 22 and 17, at sites where this gene and that for collagen type 1, alpha 1 are located, are associated with dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, a rare skin tumor. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

The PDGF-B Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of PDGF-B protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human PDGF-B protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and is suitable for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA.

The PDGF-B Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in detecting PDGF-B protein in various biological samples, including human, mouse, and rat tissues. This antibody has been shown to recognize both the full-length and cleaved forms of PDGF-B protein, making it a versatile tool for studying the regulation and function of PDGF-B in various biological processes.

In addition to its high specificity and sensitivity, the PDGF-B Polyclonal Antibody is also highly reproducible, ensuring consistent results across multiple experiments. This antibody is supplied in a convenient format, with a concentration of 1 mg/mL, and is suitable for use in both research and diagnostic applications.

Overall, the PDGF-B Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and effective tool for the detection and analysis of PDGF-B protein in various biological samples. Its high specificity, sensitivity, and reproducibility make it an ideal choice for researchers and clinicians studying the role of PDGF-B in various physiological and pathological processes.
