Phosphodiesterase 4C encoded by PDE4C belongs to the cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase (PDE) family, and PDE4 subfamily. This PDE hydrolyzes the second messenger, cAMP, which is a regulator and mediator of a number of cellular responses to extracellular signals. Thus, by regulating the cellular concentration of cAMP, phosphodiesterase 4C plays a key role in many important physiological processes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for PDE4C.
The PDE4C Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool for the detection and quantification of phosphodiesterase 4C (PDE4C) protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human PDE4C protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and validated for its specificity and sensitivity by various immunoassays, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA.
The PDE4C Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for a wide range of applications in basic research and clinical diagnostics. It can be used to study the expression and regulation of PDE4C protein in different tissues and cell types, as well as its role in various physiological and pathological processes, such as inflammation, neurodegeneration, and cancer. Moreover, this antibody can be used as a diagnostic marker for PDE4C-related diseases and as a therapeutic target for drug development.
The PDE4C Polyclonal Antibody is provided as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is available in different sizes and formats, including 50 µg, 100 µg, and 500 µg vials, as well as custom conjugation options for biotin, HRP, or fluorescent dyes. The antibody has a shelf life of 24 months when stored at -20°C or below.
