The protein encoded by PAK5 (p21 (RAC1) activated kinase 5) is a member of the PAK family of Ser/Thr protein kinases. PAK family members are known to be effectors of Rac/Cdc42 GTPases, which have been implicated in the regulation of cytoskeletal dynamics, proliferation, and cell survival signaling. This kinase contains a CDC42/Rac1 interactive binding (CRIB) motif, and has been shown to bind CDC42 in the presence of GTP. This kinase is predominantly expressed in brain. It is capable of promoting neurite outgrowth, and thus may play a role in neurite development. This kinase is associated with microtubule networks and induces microtubule stabilization. The subcellular localization of this kinase is tightly regulated during cell cycle progression. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described.
The PAK5/6 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of PAK5 and PAK6 proteins in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human PAK5/6 proteins. The resulting polyclonal antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and validated for its specificity and sensitivity through various assays.
The PAK5/6 Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It has been shown to detect endogenous levels of PAK5/6 proteins in human, mouse, and rat tissues and cell lines. This antibody is also suitable for use in studies investigating the role of PAK5/6 proteins in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, migration, and invasion.
The PAK5/6 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a liquid in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is available in various sizes to meet the needs of different research applications. This antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the function and regulation of PAK5/6 proteins in various biological systems.
