CDKN2B lies adjacent to the tumor suppressor gene CDKN2A in a region that is frequently mutated and deleted in a wide variety of tumors. CDKN2B encodes a cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor, which forms a complex with CDK4 or CDK6, and prevents the activation of the CDK kinases, thus cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor 2B functions as a cell growth regulator that controls cell cycle G1 progression. The expression of CDKN2B was found to be dramatically induced by TGF beta, which suggested its role in the TGF beta induced growth inhibition. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants of CDKN2B, which encode distinct proteins, have been reported.
The p15 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of p15 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of the p15 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards the p15 protein, making it an ideal tool for various research applications.
The p15 Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for use in a variety of immunoassays, including Western blotting, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It has been extensively validated for its performance in detecting p15 protein in human, mouse, and rat tissues and cell lines. The antibody is supplied as a purified IgG fraction, which has been affinity-purified from rabbit serum using protein A chromatography.
The p15 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of p15 protein in various biological processes, including cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, and tumorigenesis. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal reagent for detecting and quantifying p15 protein levels in complex biological samples. With its reliable performance and ease of use, the p15 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for any researcher working in the field of molecular biology.
